Join 13 April panel: How strategic narratives transformed the study of public diplomacy

SIX DAYS TO GO‼️ Delighted to announce that on April 13th, Place Branding & Public Diplomacy will host a Special Webinar on "How Strategic Narratives have Transformed the Study of Public Diplomacy". A stellar list of speakers, all of whom contributed to a recent journal issue, will discuss the evolution and impact of the Strategic Narrative concept and why it has become so central to Public Diplomacy Scholarship. Including Ben O'Loughlin Alister Miskimmon Rhys Crilley Dmitry Chernobrov Moran Yarchi J.P. Singh & Jay Wang.
We will discuss:
✅ How public diplomacy scholars now define Strategic Narratives, how they utilize them in their studies, how they operationalize the concept, and what the conceptual association is between public diplomacy and strategic narratives.
✅ Are Strategic Narratives an instrument of public diplomacy? Is the dissemination of Strategic Narratives itself a form of public diplomacy? Or is public diplomacy the means through which strategic narratives are disseminated?
✅ Future directions of research on Strategic Narratives and public diplomacy, the theoretical questions that remain unanswered, and how new research methodologies and technologies may impact the study of strategic narratives in public diplomacy.
✅ New ways of conceptualizing Strategic Narratives and Public Diplomacy in the age of AI, Slop and information overload.
